CM Shivraj Orders Action; MP Man Urinates On Tribal Person In Purported Viral Video

On Tuesday, a distressing reported video of a man allegedly urinating on a member of a Tribal group in Madhya Pradesh’s Sidhi area went viral on social media, sparking widespread anger and criticism. Shivraj Singh Chouhan, the chief minister of MP, took notice of the occurrence and ordered the appropriate authorities to take harsh action. He said that the offender “will not be spared.”

“A viral video of Sidhi district has come to my notice…I have instructed the administration to arrest the culprit and take strict action and also impose NSA,” CM Chouhan wrote on Twitter.

Sidhi’s deputy SP, Priya Singh, stated that after learning the truth regarding the video, appropriate action will be taken. If a Dalit (guy) was involved in the incident, it must be found out, she said.

Although sources said that the accused is a BJP leader, a saffron party MLA from Sidhi Kedarnath Shukla told the media that the man is “not connected to the party in any way”. “He (the culprit in the video) is neither my representative nor an associate. I am demanding strict action against the culprit,” he said.

Leaders of the state’s opposition also criticised the video. According to former MP CM Kamal Nath, “such a horrible and evil crime with the youth of the tribal population has no place in a civilised society.”

“Madhya Pradesh is already number one in tribal atrocities. This incident has put the entire Madhya Pradesh to shame. I demand from the Chief Minister that strictest punishment should be given to the guilty person and the atrocities on tribals in Madhya Pradesh should be ended,” he wrote on Twitter.
