Barwani, January 14, 2023: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan today reached Ashagram during a program organized in Barwani district on Saturday and inspected the under-construction houses for the families of 66 leprosy patients to be built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
During the visit, the Chief Minister went around the under-construction houses and praised the construction work of the house by examining the quality of the construction work. At the same time, he also directed that along with the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, benefits of Central and State Government schemes should also be given to the families of leprosy patients.
During this, the Chief Minister also sat and talked with the leprosy patients at Chai Chaupal. And also got information from them whether they are happy with the house built under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or not. Feeling thankful the family members of the leprosy patients expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister in one voice saying that earlier they used to live in a small old house, but now their permanent house has been built through the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister saying that the leprosy patients and their relatives have been living in Asha village for the last 40 years, but for the first time, a Chief Minister has come among them to inquire about their well-being. On this, the Chief Minister assured that at present he has come to see the houses under construction, but when the houses will completely be ready in the form of a beautiful colony, he will come again to Asha Gram. Everyone expressed happiness and greeted the Chief Minister with applause.
During this visit by the CM, State President Dr. VD Sharma, Cabinet Minister Mr. Premsingh Patel, and District In-charge Minister Mr. Hardeefp Singh Dung were also present.
