CCTV footage of Rameshwaram Cafe blast suspect surfaces
CCTV footage of a suspect has reportedly revealed some aspects of his identity, while the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday announced a cash reward of ₹10 lakh for information about the suspected bomber in the Rameshwaram Cafe blast case in Bengaluru on March 1.

Earlier this week, the NIA was given control of the investigation into the explosion at the cafe. The explosion that occurred on March 1 at the Rameshwaram Cafe in Brookfield, East Bengaluru, injured at least ten persons. It is believed that an improvised explosive device (IED) caused the explosion. Soon after the blast, the Karnataka Police registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act and Explosives Substances Act.
The CCTV footage revealed
The NIA released the reward and the suspect’s CCTV camera grab on Wednesday. According to The Indian Express, which used CCTV footage, the suspect showed up at a bus stop approximately 100 meters from the cafe at 10.45 a.m. on a public bus. He went into the cafe at 11.34 a.m., left at 11.43 a.m., and then took public transportation to a bus stop more than a kilometer away in order to make his getaway.
The newspaper was informed by anonymous sources that the suspect’s CCTV camera trail had yielded some important leads, including his facial features.

Deets on suspect
The suspect both carried the explosive device and then fled the scene using several public buses. During the course of the escape, he stopped multiple times, including at a Muslim religious center a few kilometers from the scene, according to sources cited by media organisation.
At one of the stops during the escape, a baseball cap that the suspect wore at the café has been discovered. The suspect is thought to have changed into a different outfit at the stop where the cap was thrown away.
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara stated on Sunday that some of the angles the police were attempting to investigate in relation to the blast at a city eatery included business rivalry, upcoming elections, and scaring away investors coming to Bengaluru in anticipation of a stable government in the state.
He said police have procured about 40 to 50 CCTV footage. “There is information that he came by a bus…26 buses passed there around that time. We went through all the 26 buses. We have found the bus in which he travelled. He was wearing a cap, mask and glasses. We are not getting clarity there as well,” G Parameshwara had said.
