Regarded as the most significant religious event globally, the Maha Kumbh Mela saw over 13 crore devotees converge at the Sangam for this sacred occasion.

Sharing his awe-inspiring views, Don Pettit however remarked on the brilliance of the Maha Kumbh Mela from the ISS, noting the immense scale of the world’s largest human gathering along the Ganga’s banks.
Pettit, an American astronaut and chemical engineer known for his contributions to space exploration and astrophotography, has spent 555 days aboard the ISS.
At 69, he serves as NASA’s oldest active astronaut and holds the credit for inventing the ‘Zero-G Cup,’ the first object patented in space.
