Assam CM Takes Dig At INDIA Alliance: “British Named India, BJP Will Fight For BHARAT”

Taking a dig at Opposition Parties Alliance INDIA, Assam CM Himant Biswa Sharma said its necessary to strive to attain freedom from colonial legecies, our forefathers fought forBharat and its time to continue to working for Bharat.

Assam CM Himanta Biswa tweeted, “Our civilisational conflict is pivoted around India and Bharat. The British named our country India. We must strive to free ourselves from colonial legacies. Our forefathers fought for Bharat and we will continue to work for Bharat. BJP for BHARAT.”

According to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s announcement on Tuesday, the opposition alliance to challenge the ruling NDA in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be known as the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA), and an 11-member committee will be established for coordination.

Addressing a joint press conference after a meeting of 26 opposition parties in Bengaluru, Kharge said, “This was a very important meeting to save democracy and the Constitution in the interest of the people of the country.”

“There are some differences between us but we have put that behind… We are together in the interest of the country.We’ll fight the 2024 Lok Sabha elections unitedly and succeed,” he further added.

Mamta Banerjee referring to the name of the alliance, West Bengal CM said, ““BJP, can you challenge INDIA? We love our motherland, we are the patriotic people of the country, we are for farmers, Dalits, we are for the country, for the world.” INDIA will win, our country will win and BJP will lose.”
