Amit Shah Urges Agencies To Adopt Ruthless Strategy For Destroying Terrorism

Amit Shah, the Union Home Minister, stated on Thursday that all anti-terror organisations should adopt a ruthless strategy to prevent formation of new terrorist organisations.

“We have to destroy not only terrorism but its entire ecosystem,” Shah said at an anti-terror meet in New Delhi.

Shah claimed that the Modi government’s tough decisions were responsible for a significant reduction in violence in Jammu and Kashmir, Naxal-affected areas, and the Northeast.

“Modi government has prepared many big databases in the last 5 years, all the agencies of the centre and state should make multidimensional use of them, only then we will be successful in the fight against terrorism. Using the database for Investigate, Prosecute, Prevention and Action,” he said.

“Form a Model Anti-terrorism Structure under the aegis of NIA. The hierarchy, structure and SoPs of investigation of anti-terror agencies should be the same in all the states. So that there can be better coordination between the central and state agencies. We will have to work towards creating a Common Training Module so that uniformity can be brought in the methodology of fight against terrorism,” he further added.

“In the fight against terrorism, from global to village and country, there is a need to work with international cooperation from different states of India. The Modi government has adopted a tough stance on all the challenges like crypto, hawala, terror-funding, organized crime syndicates, and narco-terror links, which has yielded very good results, but till now there is still a lot left to do,” he said.

He asserted that the Narendra Modi administration is committed to eliminating terrorism from the nation. He added that the nation’s policy of zero tolerance for terrorism is a result of Prime Minister Modi’s vision.
