AAP Leader Manish Sisodia Condemns Centre’s Inaction On Delhi Law Crisis

On Monday, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia criticized the BJP-led Centre for neglecting the growing law and order crisis in the national Capital.

His remarks followed bomb threats sent to over 40 schools, including DPS RK Puram and GD Goenka School in Paschim Vihar, which led to the evacuation of students and staff.

The threats caused widespread panic during the morning rush, with school buses arriving, parents dropping off their children, and school staff preparing for the day.

Authorities acted swiftly to send students home as a precaution, while investigations into the threats are ongoing.

Sisodia expressed deep concern about the increasing insecurity in the city.

As per IANS, Sisodia stated, “Ever since there have been bomb threats in 40 schools in Delhi, we are all shaken from within. Bomb threat incidents are continuously taking place in schools in Delhi.”

Pointing to a range of recent security concerns, including a bomb blast near a school in Rohini, hijacking threats, extortion demands against businessmen, and incidents of open firing, Sisodia warned, “Criminals roam around brandishing pistols and firing bullets. I have never seen such an atmosphere of terror in Delhi.”

He further emphasized the widespread anxiety among residents, particularly parents.

“A common citizen of Delhi received threats. A businessman received threats. People going for morning walks are afraid they might not return home safely. And now, even our children are not safe. Imagine what parents must be going through when they hear about bomb threats in schools,” Sisodia added.

Sisodia Accuses Centre Of Indifference To Delhi’s Law & Order

Sisodia accused the central government of being indifferent to the situation, saying, “Amit Shah is not worried, the Prime Minister is not worried, and the BJP is sleeping comfortably. Call those parents whose children are in school right now and ask them if there is a concern for law and order in Delhi.”

“We demand that the government pay attention to Delhi. Such an atmosphere of terror has never been seen as it is now under Amit Shah’s tenure as Home Minister,” he added.

He called on the government to take swift action to resolve the issue, stating, “Fix this atmosphere.”

This latest threat follows a series of security incidents in the city. In October, a bomb exploded near a CRPF school in Rohini, causing significant damage. The authorities discovered the bomb threat targeting all CRPF schools the following day was a hoax.

The increasing number of bomb threats across the country, targeting schools, hospitals, and airports, has raised alarms about the effectiveness of the security measures in place, with many calling for a stronger response from the government.
