AAP leader Manish Sisodia allowed to meet wife in police custody by court

Manish Sisodia, the former deputy chief minister of Delhi, was granted permission by the Rouse Avenue court on Friday to see his ailing wife on Saturday. He asked for permission to spend five days with his ailing wife.

Under police custody, Mr. Sisodia was permitted to see his ailing wife at his home between 10 a.m. and 4 a.m. by Special Judge M K Nagpal.

Additionally, the court extended MP Sanjay Singh’s judicial custody until November 24, 2023 in the Delhi Excise policy money laundering case.

On November 18, 2023, a special judge allowed Sanjay Singh to be produced in a defamation case before the CJM Court in Amritsar, Punjab.

Due to his health condition and the altered weather, the court ordered the jail administration to transport him by Rajdhani train to Punjab and return the same day. The authorities running the jails have also been instructed to set up suitable security measures.

Former Deputy CM Manish Sisodia is an accused in CBI as well as money laundering case. Sisodia was arrested by the ED in this case on March 9. Earlier he was arrested by the CBI on February 26.
