On Thursday, Amit Shah appealed the rebels asking them to surrender their weapons in Manipur. Around 140 weapons were including rifles, AK-47 and INSAS were turned in till Friday morning by different groups.

In two villages of Kangpokpi district bordering Imphal East district, a clash occured in which 2 people, including a militant died while many were injured. In another clash that happened, 40 houses of N Molen village and around 30 houses of the nearby T Natyang was burnt down. In a gun attack and bomb explosion in Phayeng three people were injured and one in an encounter between security personnel and suspected militants at the nearby Singda area of Imphal West district.
Home Minister, Amit Shah at the end to his four day visit to Manipur held a press conference in Imphal. While addressing he warned that combing operations would be started from Friday and if anyone is found carrying weapons, serious action will be taken against them.
According to a government source, “around 150 rebels belonging to different communities, which includes Kukis and Meiteis, had surrendered their weapons by Friday morning.” The curfew relaxed was for some hours in Imphal West, Imphal East and many other areas.
