Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer Lopez’s new film ‘Unstoppable’ has been halted filming due to the ongoing Writers Guild Association (WGA) strike.
WGA members went on strike earlier this month, demanding higher wages, more writers per show, and shorter exclusive contracts among other things.
According to the reports, ‘Unstoppable’, produced by Ben Affleck and Matt Damon’s Artists Equity was filming until it was halted by picketing strikers earlier this week.
Previously, Aziz Ansari’s Lionsgate film ‘Good Fortune’, starring Seth Rogen and Keanu Reeves, had been placed on hold indefinitely due to picketing difficulties.
Furthermore, Marvel Studios has opted not to begin production on its upcoming titles ‘Blade’ and ‘Thunderbolts’ until the strike is over.
Lopez’s ‘Unstoppable’ is based on the life of Anthony Robles, a wrestler born with one leg who won a national championship at Arizona State.
The film, directed by Oscar-winning editor William Goldenberg, will star Jharrel Jerome in the starring role.
