10 Individuals Safely Rescued from Stuck Elevator in Delhi’s South Extension by Fire-fighters

Officials announced on Sunday that firefighters successfully rescued ten individuals who were trapped inside an elevator in a building located in the South Extension area. The incident occurred at approximately 12:45 am. Atul Garg, the Director of Delhi Fire Services, stated that they received an emergency call from South Extension at 5:42 am reporting ten people stuck in an elevator. Firefighters utilized ladders and broke a glass window on the building’s first floor to rescue the individuals.

According to the police, ten people became trapped inside the elevator while attempting to descend from the third floor of the building after leaving a club. The first floor, which was privately owned and locked, posed an additional obstacle. Initially, the individuals tried to free themselves from the elevator but later contacted the maintenance staff for assistance.

The police are currently investigating whether any foul play was involved in the incident.
