Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise, who is currently promoting Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, has expressed a heartfelt desire to create a Bollywood-style film, praising the colour, vibrancy, and artistry of Hindi cinema.
In an interaction during the global promotional tour of the final instalment of the Mission: Impossible franchise, Cruise spoke warmly of his love for India, its people, and especially its cinematic culture.
“I feel so much love for India,” said Cruise. “India is an amazing country — the people, the culture. The whole experience is etched in my memory. From visiting the Taj Mahal to spending time in Mumbai, every moment was unforgettable.”
Cruise, known for his adrenaline-packed action roles, expressed fascination with the unique format of Indian films.
“I would love to go back to India and make a film there. I love Bollywood films — the skill it takes to sing, dance, and act is incredible. It’s so natural and full of life. I especially enjoy the spontaneous song sequences – it’s beautiful.”
The actor added that he has grown up watching musicals from around the world and sees Bollywood as an extension of that genre, but with its own vibrant identity.
“I love the dancing, the singing, the actors. It’s such a unique experience and shows the incredible craftsmanship of Indian performers,” he said.
Cruise also reminisced about his earlier visit to India and said he has many friends in the country.
“I met such amazing people when I visited. I can’t wait to return. It would be amazing to do a Bollywood-style movie- so much fun.”
Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning has been released in India in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, across IMAX and 4DX screens, six days ahead of its release in the United States.
The move underscores Cruise’s strong connection with the Indian market and audience.
As Indian fans celebrate this recognition from one of Hollywood’s biggest stars, hopes are high that Tom Cruise’s Bollywood dream may soon become a reality, blending global stardom with the magic of Indian cinema.
