Hema Malini Mourns The Loss Of Zarine Khan, Mother Of Sussanne And Zayed Khan

Veteran actress and politician Hema Malini expressed her grief over the passing of Zarine Khan, mother of actors Zayed Khan and Sussanne Khan, describing her as “another close, dear friend gone.”

Sharing a throwback picture with Zarine and veteran actor Sanjay Khan, Hema wrote, “Such a beautiful person, both inside and out.”

Hema Malini recalled her long-standing bond with the Khan family, highlighting their involvement in family celebrations over the years.

“Both Sanjay and Zarine have been close to me for many, many years, always wishing me well, participating in all our family celebrations, birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, and always ready to lend a helping hand,” she shared.

The actress also praised Zarine Khan’s skills as an interior designer, noting her contribution to Hema’s home back in the 1970s.

“Zarine and another dear friend, Neetu Kohli, were excellent interior designers and designed my home in the 70s. I will miss her lovely friendship and her presence. My heart goes out to dear Sanjay in this moment of his personal loss,” she added.

Esha Deol Remembers Her Aunt

Hema’s daughter, actress Esha Deol, also took to Instagram to pay tribute. In her Stories section, she wrote, “My dear Zarine aunty… I’m still shocked & can’t believe you have left us. One of the most beautiful women I’ve known. The strength of your family. Full of love, warmth & beauty in every sense. I have known her since I was a baby & have always admired her. I will miss her very much.”

Esha extended condolences to the entire Khan family, including Zayed, Farha, Sussanne, Simone, and Sanjay Khan. She concluded her post with, “Zarine aunty, may your soul rest in peace. Om Shanti.”
