Varun Dhawan’s First Look From ‘Border 2’ Exudes Valour And Patriotism

The makers of Border 2 unveiled actor Varun Dhawan’s intense first look on Wednesday, revealing him in a fierce battlefield avatar.

The glimpse showcases Varun embodying the spirit of a fearless Indian soldier in the much-awaited war drama.

T-Series Films shared the poster on Instagram, showing Varun in a rugged military uniform with ammunition belts strapped across his chest. He stood amid chaos and smoke, his face covered in dirt and grit.

The caption read: “Border uska farz hai aur Bharat uska pyaar!”

Varun’s Fierce Battlefield Transformation

The powerful visual hints at Varun’s complete transformation for the role. The makers have scheduled the sequel to the 1997 blockbuster Border for release on January 23, 2026.

Varun shared the poster on his Instagram handle.

He captioned it, “देश का फौजी, Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya #Border2 in cinemas 23rd January, 2026.”

Anurag Singh directs Border 2 with a stellar ensemble cast. The film features Sunny Deol, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Medha Rana, Mona Singh, and Sonam Bajwa.

The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, JP Dutta, and Nidhi Dutta under the banners of T-Series and JP Films.

The original Border depicted the 1971 Battle of Longewala. Border 2 reportedly takes inspiration from the 1999 Kargil War between India and Pakistan.

Pakistani forces infiltrated across the Line of Control (LoC) and occupied Indian territory in the Kargil sector. This move sparked a fierce conflict between the two nations.

The war tested the bravery and resilience of Indian soldiers.

Gulshan Kumar and T-Series present the film in association with JP Dutta’s JP Films.

The makers aim to honour the heroism, courage, and unwavering spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.

Varun Dhawan will appear in David Dhawan’s upcoming romantic comedy Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai with Pooja Hegde and Mrunal Thakur.

The film releases on June 5, 2026. The title takes inspiration from the popular track ‘Hai Jawani Toh Pyaar Hona Hai’ from David Dhawan’s classic Biwi No 1. It promises a lighthearted and romantic story about love, rejection, and divine intervention.
