T-Series Denounces Scam As Fraudster Dupes Aspiring Artists In Fake Music Video Racket

T-Series has publicly distanced itself from a recent scam in which a fraudster impersonated a representative of the company and allegedly duped at least 17 aspiring artists.

The conman promised roles in fake T-Series music video projects, collecting money under false pretences.

On Wednesday, the music label released an official statement on social media, acknowledging the incident and clarifying its complete disassociation from the accused.

T-Series further expressed concern over the misuse of its name and reassured the public that it handles all collaborations and hiring exclusively through verified channels.

T-Series Calls For Caution

“We are aware of a scam involving a fraudster impersonating a T-Series representative to deceive aspiring artists. T-Series has no connection to the individual,” the company stated. “We operate with the highest integrity, and all official collaborations and hiring are done solely through verified official channels. None of our representatives ever demands money for casting opportunities. The misuse of our name is deeply concerning, and we strongly condemn it.”

Delhi Police Cyber Cell Makes Arrest

Meanwhile, the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police has arrested a suspect in connection with the scam.

The man, identified as Rahul Dev, also known by the alias Siddharath, hails from Bharat Colony in Old Faridabad, Haryana.

Vulnerable performers were further allegedly approached through social media by an individual who falsely claimed to be a casting agent for T-Series.

Victim Recounts Fraudulent Offer

The case came to light after Simran Maan, a resident of Vishwas Nagar in Shahdara, filed a complaint.

She further reported that individuals posing as T-Series agents approached her online and claimed they had shortlisted her for a music video role.

They asked her to travel to Mumbai for an audition and instructed her to transfer ₹20,462 for a flight booking, promising to reimburse the amount.

FIR Registered Under New Criminal Code

The Cyber Police Station in Shahdara filed an FIR on 11 April under Sections 318(4) and 319(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Investigations are ongoing as police determine the full extent of the scam and the number of victims affected.

T-Series Urges Aspiring Artists To Stay Alert

T-Series has further urged all aspiring artists to exercise caution and verify communications before engaging with any opportunities claiming affiliation with the label.

The company reiterated that it does not charge money for auditions or roles and advised the public to report suspicious activity to authorities.
