Oscar Winning Musician Hans Zimmer Expressed His Love During Live Concert In London

Hanz Zimmer made an unexpected grand gesture onstage In London during the concert.

The 65-year-old Oscar-winning musician, who is best known for writing the scores for blockbuster films like Dunkirk and The Dark Knight, invited his companion on stage towards the end of the Hans Zimmer Live concert at London’s O2 venue.

The proposal

“There’s one more thing. So this is the woman I love, apparently she loves me,” he told the audience.

Addressing his partner, he said, “Why did I bring you up here? I was going to ask you something really important. Did you lock the back door? Is the milk in the fridge? Do we have any sorbet in the freezer? Will you marry me?”

The girl accepted his proposal, and the audience started cheering up and praised the couple as they hugged each other.

Zimmer added, “Things are working out well, the backdoor is locked. Everything is good.”

“I’ve got this one little number left. It’s intimate in its insignificance but maybe not so insignificant and maybe I quite like it.

He then started singing “Time,” a song that was used in the Christopher Nolan movie Inception from 2010.

The music was played on the piano by Zimmer as his partner sat next to him.

Tribute to the Ukrainian orchestra

The concert featured music from films like Gladiator, Pirates of the Caribbean, Interstellar, and the James Bond film No Time To Die as a celebration of the composer’s body of work.

He conducted his band and the Ukrainian Odesa Orchestra during the performance as laser lights and beams illuminated the concert venue.

Zimmer paid tribute to the Ukrainian orchestra during the show.

“I would really to thank our orchestra because our orchestra is special, our orchestra is from Odessa in Ukraine,” he said.

He added, “I think it takes enormous courage to sit here, smile at you, and play without flaw for three hours while you do not know what’s going on at home and everything is going on at home.”

Throughout the years of his career, the musician has been nominated for 12 Oscars and has won two for best score, for both the sci-fi drama Dune and the renowned Disney classic The Lion King, which was also featured in the program.
