The Divya Prem Seva Mission, Haridwar, will organise the seven-day theatrical production ‘Jaanta Raja’ at Suncity in Ghaziabad from October 22 to 28.
The production will portray the life and achievements of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, highlighting his leadership, military strategies and cultural legacy.
Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has accepted the invitation to attend the inaugural ceremony as chief guest.
BJP National President Nitin Nabin and RSS All India Contact Chief Ram Lal are also among the prominent invitees.
Former President Ram Nath Kovind, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, and Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta are expected to attend.
Divya Prem Seva Mission president Dr Ashish Gautam addressed the press. He explained why the organisers selected Ghaziabad for the production.
Dr Gautam said Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj visited Shri Dudheshwar Nath Mahadev Math in Ghaziabad after escaping imprisonment under Mughal ruler Aurangzeb.
According to him, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj performed religious rituals there and resolved to establish Hindavi Swarajya.
Dr Gautam stressed the importance of introducing young people to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s ideals, alongside the teachings of Jijabai and Samarth Guru Ramdas.
Daily performances will begin at 4:30 PM and continue for approximately four hours. Around 250 artists will recreate historical scenes using elephants, horses, camels, cannons, swords and other weapons.
Replicas of the Sinhagad, Pratapgad and Raigad forts will feature prominently.
Organisers expect around 15,000 visitors daily. The mission has also contacted universities and colleges across Delhi-NCR to encourage student participation.
More than 300 meetings and conferences have taken place since preparations began in March 2026.
The event will support the mission’s service projects in Haridwar. Daily Rudrabhishek rituals at the venue will continue until October 28.
Several political leaders and spiritual figures are also expected to attend throughout the programme.
