Tata Motors Reports 2% Growth In Global Wholesales For Q1 FY25

Tata Motors Group, including Jaguar Land Rover, reported global wholesales of 329,847 vehicles in the April-June quarter of fiscal year 2025, marking a 2% increase from Q1 FY24. Specifically, global wholesales for Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles and Tata Daewoo in Q1 FY25 reached 93,410 vehicles, up by 6% year-over-year.

Passenger vehicle wholesales, including electric vehicles, totaled 138,682, showing a slight decrease of 1%. Jaguar Land Rover’s sales were particularly robust at 97,755 vehicles, representing a 5% increase. Jaguar and Land Rover contributed 8,227 and 89,528 vehicles respectively during the quarter.

In the domestic and international markets combined, Tata Motors sold 229,891 vehicles in Q1 FY25, compared to 226,245 units in Q1 FY24. Domestic sales of Tata Motors’ commercial vehicles in Q1 FY25 stood at 87,615 units, reflecting a 7% increase from the same period last year. Additionally, June sales showed a 3% rise compared to May 2024.

Girish Wagh, Executive Director of Tata Motors Ltd., commented on the performance, noting the positive growth in commercial vehicle sales and the overall trajectory of the company’s operations in the first quarter of FY25.
