GST Collection Reaches All Time High, Reaches Rs 2.10 Lakh Crore In April

The Goods and Services Tax (GST) collection in country have broken all records and have reached an all-time high. GST collection in April 2024 has come to Rs 2.10 lakh crore.

This time the GST collection has got huge revenue. For the first time in a month, GST revenue has crossed Rs 2 lakh crore. GST collection in April 2024 has been Rs 2.10 lakh crore, which is historic. Gross revenue has achieved an impressive growth of 12.4 percent on year-on-year basis. If we look at the net revenue after refund, it has been Rs 1.92 lakh crore, which is a direct increase of 17.1 percent on annual basis.

Taking to X, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has expressed her joy by posting the record GST collection on her account.

This increase in Goods and Services Tax collection has been seen after an impressive growth of 13.4 percent in domestic transactions along with an increase of 8.3 percent in imports.

GST collection data sequentially

Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST): Rs 43,846 crore

State Goods and Services Tax (SGST)-Rs 53,538 crore;

Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST) – Rs 99,623 crore, of which Rs 37,826 crore was collected from imported goods.

Cess: Rs 13,260 crore, of which Rs 1008 crore was collected from imported goods.
