Adani Electricity, Adani Foundation Distributes 12,000 Books To 74 BMC schools

On Wednesday, Adani Electricity and Adani Foundation launched a library distribution initiative, aiming to support 74 BMC schools in Mumbai’s P-North and M-West Wards.

As part of the program, 12,000 books were provided in Marathi, Hindi, and English to enhance students’ learning experiences.

A spokesperson for Adani Electricity stated, “Many students in BMC schools come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Libraries help bridge this gap by providing free access to educational materials and resources. Earlier, many students had limited or no access to books outside the classroom.”

“The lack of availability of books can significantly reduce the reading frequency and overall engagement with literature,” the spokesperson added.

The initiative will assist students to “significantly improve their academic performance, cognitive development, and overall well-being by fostering a love for reading and providing them with the tools they need to succeed.”

The initiative will likely benefit around 25,000 students, encouraging a passion for learning, improving educational outcomes, and promoting overall development, while also creating valuable resources for future learners.
