But how?
It’s unbelievable. Hopes do hurt but this time hopes had hard ground of reality beneath it. However, what came out finally was totally different.
There may be many things as the reason behind the defeat of Team India. One bad day after ten great days is oddly incredible. Why on earth the odd day had to come in the end? That is where the destiny sucks.
On the other side things happened just the opposite. Losing three games they started the journey to victory. The Final Day did not deceive them. They did not do any extraordinary either. And they won. How?
Moreover, for Team India, it was not too bad kind of performance in the first innings and then in the second inning also the beginning was as usual fantastic. But then suddenly things started changing and after a while they went worst. And we lost!
Probably the real difference was not the game but the attitude. The Team India has not learnt to wear attitude. The Aussies do wear it. Remember what Pat Cummins said prior to the final contest – We will make the big crowd go silent! And he was able to keep his promise.
It looked as if they own the ground. Things were going their way, not our way fo they had discovered our raw nerve. Neither our team nor our spectators expected Australia to put up a fight. But they were wrong.
Team India was rooting for a complete surrender slowly and gradually. Watching this happen we were too helpless lot to do any thing. We watched our early wickets triggered our insecurity. And then at the end of our batting innings, this insecurity was almost peaking.
One fact can be considered. The Team India is not accustomed to winning. Struggle is in our blood not the victory. That is one reason, they do not wear a victory attitude. On the other hand, the Aussies not only wore the attitude but also voiced it prior to the Final.
Nevertheless, the question is still there exploring a perfectly satisfying answer – WHAT WENT WRONG? When we started the second then also things were not out of control, then suddenly – WHAT HAPPENED?
