A demonstration was held at Delhi’s Birla Mandir in support of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
United Hindu Front president Jai Bhagwan Goyal, saints, representatives of Hindu organisations, traders, and workers took part in the protest.
The demonstrators marched from Birla Mandir towards Rahul Gandhi’s residence to express their opposition to Opposition leaders.
During the demonstration, participants accused Rahul Gandhi and other Opposition leaders of engaging in anti-national activities.
They demanded that sedition cases be registered against the leaders and submitted a memorandum addressed to the President of India, outlining their demands.
Bharat Express correspondent Himanshu Dubey visited the protest site to assess the situation and gather reactions from participants.
He spoke exclusively with United Hindu Front president Jai Bhagwan Goyal and saints, along with traders and other demonstrators, about the purpose of the march and their demands.
Jai Bhagwan Goyal expressed his support for Gyanesh Kumar and demanded that the Chief Election Commissioner be awarded the Bharat Ratna.
He alleged that Opposition leaders were misleading the public and causing financial losses to traders during festivals.
Goyal also accused the Opposition of attempting to divide the country through foreign funding. These allegations formed part of the concerns he raised during the demonstration.
The protest brought together participants from different sections of society who voiced their support for Gyanesh Kumar. They also called for action against Opposition leaders.
