PM Modi Accuses Congress-RJD Of Shielding Infiltrators, Says Bihar Won’t Return To ‘Jungle Raj’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed separate rallies across Bihar on Thursday, mounting a strong attack on the Congress and RJD for what they described as decades of misrule and corruption.

Speaking at a rally in Araria, PM Modi unveiled what he termed a ‘report card’ of governance from 1990 to 2005, alleging that Bihar saw zero development during that period.

He said the government of that period caused exploitation and stagnation and failed to build any expressways, bridges, tourist circuits, sports complexes, or medical colleges.

He contrasted this with the NDA’s record, crediting the alliance for institutions such as IIT Patna, IIM Bodh Gaya, AIIMS Patna, and Darbhanga AIIMS. PM Modi said that the RJD-Congress alliance had made ‘guns, corruption, and misgovernance’ Bihar’s identity.

‘Congress-RJD Protected Infiltrators’

PM Modi accused the Congress and RJD of protecting infiltrators and disrespecting traditional faith, referring to remarks on Chhath Puja. He urged Bihar’s women voters to ensure the state never returns to what he called ‘jungle raj’.

Addressing another rally in Bhagalpur, PM Modi accused the RJD of fuelling caste violence and blamed Congress for instigating communal riots, asserting that the ‘stain of the Bhagalpur riots’ would never fade.

He accused the opposition of practising politics of destruction that forced Bihar’s youth to migrate in search of work. He added that the NDA is creating opportunities within the state.

Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh Join Attack

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, speaking in Ramnagar, accused RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav of scams involving fodder, land-for-jobs, and flood relief.

He claimed that the Congress and RJD defended infiltrators and vowed that the BJP would remove them from Bihar’s voter lists. Shah also pledged to revive sugar mills shut during the ‘jungle raj.’

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, addressing a rally in East Champaran, said violence and lawlessness defined the RJD’s culture. Praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s clean record, Singh asserted that Bihar had transformed under the NDA and predicted a two-thirds majority for the alliance.

Voters in Bihar will cast their votes in two phases on 6 and 11 November, as major parties intensify their campaigns for the final phase.
