PM Modi To Flag Off Four New Vande Bharat Trains From Varanasi On November 8

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Varanasi on November 8 to inaugurate four new Vande Bharat Express trains.

This will further expand India’s modern and high-speed rail network.

The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to offering citizens faster, safer, and more comfortable travel options through world-class rail services.

The new trains will operate on four key routes: Banaras-Khajuraho, Lucknow-Saharanpur, Firozpur-Delhi, and Ernakulam-Bengaluru.

Boosting India’s Rail Connectivity

Each route aims to improve regional connectivity and reduce travel time. These new links will strengthen economic and tourism growth across India.

The Banaras-Khajuraho Vande Bharat Express will save nearly 2 hours and 40 minutes compared to existing services.

It will connect major cultural and spiritual hubs like Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Khajuraho. It is home to the UNESCO World Heritage temple complex.

This route will boost religious tourism and provide pilgrims with a modern, fast, and comfortable journey.

The Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat will complete its journey in about 7 hours and 45 minutes, saving almost an hour of travel time.

It will serve passengers from Sitapur, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Bijnor, and Saharanpur, while also improving access to Haridwar via Roorkee.

This service will strengthen intercity travel and fuel regional development in central and western Uttar Pradesh.

The Firozpur-Delhi Vande Bharat will be the fastest train on this corridor, completing the journey in 6 hours and 40 minutes.

It will improve rail connectivity between the national capital and key Punjab cities like Firozpur, Bathinda, and Patiala.

This will help boost trade, tourism, and job opportunities, driving economic growth in border regions.

In the south, the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat will cut travel time by over 2 hours, completing the journey in 8 hours and 40 minutes.

It will link major IT, business, and academic hubs, benefiting professionals, students, and tourists across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

These four routes mark another leap toward a faster and more connected India, aligning with PM Modi’s vision of modern infrastructure and inclusive development.
