Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the Peethadheeshwar of Kalki Dham, welcomed retired IG Piyush Srivastava and his family to the spiritual centre.
Sharing a message on social media platform X, he wrote, “A heartfelt welcome and blessings to Shri Piyush Srivastava ji, former Superintendent of Police of Sambhal and retired IG, on his visit to Shri Kalki Dham with his family.”

Warmth, respect, and blessings were exchanged during the visit between the senior police officer and the revered spiritual leader.
Addressing the Kanwar Yatra and religious sentiments
Commenting on the ongoing Kanwar Yatra and related debates, Acharya Krishnam stated that the month of Sawan holds deep spiritual meaning in Sanatan Dharma and is seen as a time of penance and devotion.
He appreciated the efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government in managing the yatra and ensuring the sentiments of devotees are respected.
“Several Chief Ministers have governed Uttar Pradesh—Akhilesh Yadav, Mulayam Singh Yadav, and Mayawati among them—but what is being done now under Yogi Adityanath’s leadership is unprecedented in addressing the faith of Kanwariyas,” he said.
He recalled past incidents where devotees were allegedly attacked or disrespected and added, “Faith must be honoured, and the foundation of any religion is truth. Those who conceal the truth or exploit religion for business are in the wrong.”
Acharya Krishnam also discussed the wider issue of violence and religious identity.
He said, “No religion, including Sanatan Dharma, permits violence. Yet most violence today occurs in the name of religion. If there is an action, there will be a reaction.”
Referring to the tragic incident in Pahalgam, he noted, “People were shot after being asked their religion and stripped. It’s disheartening that when Hindus are attacked, there is often silence. This is wrong, but so is ignoring the natural law of cause and effect.”
Identity, honesty & equality
On the issue of nameplates and business identity, Acharya Krishnam criticised those who operate under false names.
“If you go to school, work, vote, or travel abroad, you need identification. Even good deeds are recognised by name. Why hide your identity in business?”
He added, “Those hiding their names are violating Islamic principles as well. Lying is not permitted in the Quran. Hindus and Muslims are equal in this country—changing your name won’t harm your business, but hiding your identity is wrong from every perspective.”
