
Netflix is rolling out a vertical video feed on its mobile app, marking a major step toward enhancing content discovery.
Much like Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts, this feed allows users to scroll through short clips of Netflix originals.
With a single tap, viewers can watch the full series or film, save it to “My List,” or share it with friends.
The company announced the feature at its first-ever product and tech showcase, stating the aim is to make discovery more engaging and playful.
Netflix AI-Powered Conversational Search On iOS
In addition to video features, Netflix is testing a generative AI-based search tool for iOS users.

The new feature allows users to type natural language queries such as, “I want something funny and upbeat,” simplifying the process of finding personalised content.
By making search feel more intuitive, Netflix aims to offer a smarter, user-friendly experience.
TV Interface And Homepage Redesign
Netflix is also redesigning its TV interface and home tab to streamline navigation.
The updated homepage will now display multiple banners and content rows like “Today’s Top Picks For You”, “Only on Netflix”, or “Recently Added.”
These new labels and curated collections aim to make recommendations more relevant and timely.
Improved Navigation And Accessibility
Another key improvement includes repositioning essential shortcuts like “Search” and “My List” to the top of the homepage, replacing their previous left-hand side location.
Netflix claims this change makes the app easier to navigate and more visually modern.
These upgrades will begin appearing globally across iOS and Android devices in the coming weeks.
It has designed these enhancements to better reflect viewers’ moods and habits, ensuring a more personalised and efficient browsing experience.
