Bihar: Financial Support For Farmers
In Bihar, PM Modi launched the PM Kisan Scheme, directly transferring ₹6,000 annually to the bank accounts of farmers across the country.
He also spoke about the creation of the Makhana Development Board, a move aimed at improving the production, processing, and marketing of this valuable agricultural product.
The initiative is expected to significantly benefit farmers, especially in Bihar, by providing a boost to the Makhana industry, which is vital for the state’s economy.
Assam: Celebrating Tea Industry & Culture
PM Modi’s visit concluded in Assam, where he was given a grand reception.
The highlight of the evening was a cultural performance by 9,000 artists who showcased the Jhumoir Binandini dance, a traditional dance form.
This celebration marked the 200th anniversary of Assam’s tea industry, which has become globally renowned for its quality and heritage.
Modi praised the tea industry for its contribution to Assam’s economy and global recognition, while also acknowledging the rich cultural traditions of the state.
