Earlier in the day, Tusk paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in New Delhi.

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar also met the Polish Prime Minister and discussed ways to deepen cooperation across various sectors.

Jaishankar said he appreciated Tusk’s views on expanding bilateral cooperation and looked forward to his meeting with PM Modi to advance the strategic partnership.

Tusk arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday evening for a three-day official visit aimed at boosting cooperation in defence, trade and other strategic areas.
