Delhi Voter Turnout Hits 46.55% By 3 PM, Polls Ongoing

The Nation’s capital Delhi is under polls to elect the representatives of the 18th assembly in a Single phase.

North East district of Delhi recorded the highest voter turnout at 39.51 percent while the Central Delhi district recorded the lowest at 29.74 percent.

Among the constituencies, Mustafabad had the highest turnout at 43 percent while Karol Bagh recorded the lowest at 25.01 percent.

Voter Turnout In Uttar Pradesh’s Milkipur

The Milkipur constituency, a Scheduled Castes (SC)-reserved seat, is home to 3,70,829 voters. The main contest in the bypoll is between Samajwadi Party’s Ajit Prasad and BJP’s Chandrabhanu Paswan.

In the recent development, Tamil Nadu’s Erode (East) records 53.63% voting, and Uttar Padesh’s Milkipur records 57.13% voter turnout till 3 pm, as per the Election Commission of India.

Congress Criticizes AAP

Despite both Congress and AAP being part of the INDIA bloc at the national level, their relationship has been strained, especially in Delhi.

Congress has increasingly criticized AAP for its lack of development in the capital and its alleged involvement in corruption, particularly the delay in the Comptroller and Auditor General’s (CAG) reports and the alleged scam related to the scrapped Delhi excise policy.

Congress’ Pawan Khera Criticises Kejriwal’s Leadership

In a final jab at AAP and Kejriwal, Khera boldly declared, “AAP and Kejriwal are a threat to democracy,” underlining the growing friction between the two parties.
