As millions of devotees and tourists gather in Prayagraj for the Mauni Amavasya Snan at the Maha Kumbh on Wednesday, the fair administration and police have strengthened safety protocols to ensure a safe and smooth experience for all.
Devotees have been urged to stay vigilant, avoid rumors, and report any concerns promptly.
A dedicated team, including fair police, traffic police, and specialized doctors, has been deployed around the clock to assist devotees in case of emergencies.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Maha Kumbh Nagar, Rajesh Dwivedi, said, “We have made robust arrangements for the second Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh, especially for Mauni Amavasya.”
He requested that devotees cooperate with the police, stay cautious, and seek help whenever needed. The police and administration are available 24/7 to support the devotees.
To ensure crowd management, the authorities have shared several guidelines:
For Crowd Movement: Devotees are advised to take different lanes to reach Sangam Ghat, stay in their lane while going for the Ganga bath, and proceed straight to the parking after bathing and darshan. While visiting temples, stay in your lane and leave for your next destination.
Health & Safety: If health issues arise, devotees should visit the nearest hospital or medical facility in their sector. Police and traffic police are stationed to assist as needed.
General Conduct: Devotees are asked to remain patient while crossing barricades or pontoon bridges, avoid jostling, and use only eco-friendly utensils. All ghats are Sangam Ghats, so bathe at the ghat you reach first.
