High Court: Decision Reserved In Azam Khan’s Son Abdullah’s Case

Allahabad High Court reserved its decision in the fake passport case of Abdullah Azam, son of jailed senior SP leader Azam Khan. In the last hearing of this case, the Allahabad High Court had sought a reply from the government on Abdullah Azam’s petition.

Prayagraj: Allahabad High Court reserved its decision in the fake passport case of Abdullah Azam, son of jailed senior SP leader Azam Khan. In the last hearing of this case, the Allahabad High Court had sought a reply from the government on Abdullah Azam’s petition.

Justice Rajiv Mishra’s single bench heard the case. Abdullah Azam Khan has filed a petition in Allahabad High Court regarding making a fake passport on wrong date of birth. The case against Abdullah for making a fake passport is going on in Rampur’s special court. Trial proceedings are going on in this case.

Earlier, the case was heard in the Allahabad High Court on July 18. Abdullah had filed an application in the trial court seeking permission to file certified copies of some video clips, wedding cards, etc. The trial court rejected the application in its order of March 19. Abdullah Azam Khan has challenged the order of the trial court in the Allahabad High Court.

The Allahabad High Court had stayed the action of the trial court. Now this case is being heard in the Allahabad High Court.

The case was registered in Rampur’s Civil Lines police station on 30 July 2019.The hearing in this case is going on in Rampur’s MP-MLA court (magistrate trial). Abdullah has been accused of getting a passport made with fake documents. A case was registered against Abdullah in Rampur’s Civil Lines police station on 30 July 2019 in the fake passport case. The case was registered under sections of fraud and Passport Act.

BJP leader Akash Saxena had filed this case. Akash Saxena had said in the complaint that Abdullah Azam’s educational certificate and the information given to the passport department are different.

According to the complaint, Abdullah was issued passport number Z-4307442 on 10 January 2018. Abdullah’s date of birth is mentioned as 30 September 1990 in it while in educational certificates it is 1 January 1993. After the complaint, the police registered a case.

Akash also alleged that Abdullah had used the passport for financial gain during business trips abroad and as an identity card in various institutions. A single bench of Justice Rajiv Mishra is hearing the case.
