Ashes of Sahara Shree Subrata Roy immersed in Sangam

The urn containing the ashes was earlier kept at the KP Community Hall where people paid tributes to the departed soul. Then, it was taken to Boat Club.

The ashes of  Sahara Shree Subrata Roy, were immersed at Sangam, the confluence of Ganga, Yamuna and mythical Saraswati, amid chanting of Vedic mantras on Tuesday.
Subrata’s younger brother JB Roy performed the ceremony. Relatives and other close dignitaries close to Sahara Shri were also present on the occasion.

It may be recalled that Sahara Shree Subrata Roy, the founder of Sahara India Group, passed away on November 15  due to cardiorespiratory arrest, said the business group in a statement. He was 75 years old. Subrata Roy was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute in Mumbai on Sunday died following an extended battle with complications arising from metastatic malignancy, hypertension and diabetes after his health deteriorated, where he took his last breath.
