Fifteen-year-old Lakshmi Jadala has officially qualified for the Special Olympics World Games 2027 after an extraordinary performance at the National Tennis Championship 2025 (Disability Sports), held in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh.
Competing in the U-17 junior category, the young tennis sensation dominated the court, winning all three matches in straight sets.
His assured performance not only secured him the gold medal but also a place on the global stage in Cairo.
Currently Asia’s top-ranked para lawn tennis player with an intellectual disability, Jadala is not only rewriting record books but also redefining what’s possible for athletes with special needs.
His triumphs have garnered attention beyond tennis circles, as he continues to prove that resilience, talent and proper support can lead to international success.

Jadala’s success story is closely tied to the Garv Hai initiative by Adani Sportsline – a national programme that scouts, mentors and supports promising athletes from across India.

“To win this tournament and represent India at the Special Olympics is a dream come true,” said Jadala. “I’m especially thankful to Adani Sportsline and the Garv Hai programme for their constant support and belief in me. I’m now looking forward to my preparations for the World Games.”
