On Monday, Ukraine’s air force announced its air defence system had destroyed 12 of Russia’s 13 attack drones.
On Telegram, Ukraine’s air force wrote, “The drones were destroyed over the Sumy region in Ukraine’s northeast”.
It was unclear what happened to the drone that did not crash.
Ammunition shortages have plagued Ukrainian forces for months, exacerbated by months-long delays in US deliveries that were only resolved last month after Congress approved an aid package.
