Russian President Will Not Attend G20 Summit In India, Kremlin Declares

The Kremlin announced on Friday that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be attending the G20 summit in India in September.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) has issued an arrest warrant for President Putin, accusing him of war crimes committed in Ukraine, which the Kremlin categorically denies. This means he faces arrest if he travels abroad.

Russian President attended a meeting of leaders from the BRICS group of rising countries in South Africa this week via video link rather than in person.
