RRR Chartbuster ‘Naatu Naatu’ Winning Hearts In South Korea: Foreign Minister Park Jin

95^th Academy award-winning song Naatu-Naatu is winning hearts in South Korea said South Korea’s Foreign Minister, Park Jin who visited Delhi on Friday for a two-day India visit. The renowned foreign minister also stated that he is a fan of Bollywood movies and has also watched RRR.

Praising SS Rajamouli’s epic action drama film, South Korea’s minister said that he has himself watched the movie and termed it an “extraordinary story about the Indian people”.

”You know, the Naatu-Naatu dance is really popular in Korea. I saw the movie myself…Rise, Roar and Revolt, which is a fantastic movie, and also the story. I think it was an extraordinary story about the Indian people and history, said Jin, while speaking to ANI.

Jin’s love for Bollywood

Park Jin further, expressed his love for Bollywood films and listed his favorite Indian movies including 3 Idiots, Chennai Express, and RRR.

At the Korean embassy, the staff danced to the song Naatu-Naatu and demonstrated their country’s music, singing, and dancing. The minister expressed his happiness and showed special attention to the movie and the famous song.

The Korean minister Park Jin introduced himself in Hindi says, “ Namaste, aap logon se milkar achcha laga. Mera naam Park Jin haai, main Korea ka foreign minister hoon. (Namaste, it was wonderful to meet you all. I am Park Jin, and I am the foreign minister of (South Korea).

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) official spokesperson Arindam Bagchi on Friday welcomed South Korea’s Foreign Minister Park Jin to India and said his visit will help strengthen India- South Korea Strategic Partnership. Park will hold talks with External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar. During his trip, Jin will travel to Tamil Nadu to visit the South Korean business operating there.

India and South Korea’s Relations

India and South Korea share a long history of cultural, economic, and diplomatic ties. The relationship between the two countries can be traced back to the Indian city of Ayodhya and the legend of a South Korean queen from Ayodhya. The story tells that a princess named ‘Suriratna’ from Ayodhya traveled to Korea in 48 CE, where she married a king named ‘Kim Suro’ and become his queen ‘Heo- Hwang- Ok’.
