Report: 26/11 Mastermind Hafiz Saeed’s Aide Mufti Qaiser Farooq Killed In Karachi

According to Pakistani media, “unknown men” shot and killed Mufti Qaiser Farooq, one of the prominent leaders of the Pakistani terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), in Karachi.

Hafiz Saeed, the mastermind of the 26/11 terrorist attack in Mumbai, was a close friend of Qaiser Farooq, one of the founding members of LeT.

According to police sources cited in Pakistan’s Dawn newspaper, Qaiser Farooq, 30, was shot on Saturday in a “targeted attack” close to a place of worship in the Samanabad region. Farooq was taken to a hospital after being shot in the back, where he passed away while receiving medical attention.

CCTV footage of Farooq’s murder is making the rounds on social media. However, the video’s authenticity cannot be independently verified. In the assault, a 10-year-old boy was also wounded.
