Both nations plan to issue a joint declaration condemning terrorism.
Argentina was scarred by the 1992 Israeli Embassy bombing and the 1994 AMIA bombing.
It recently condemned the attack on tourists in Jammu & Kashmir and seeks closer counter-terror cooperation with India.
PM Modi’s visit precedes the BRICS summit in Brazil and aligns with India’s efforts to revitalise trade talks with MERCOSUR. Argentina’s reform push inside the customs union could prove pivotal to deeper India–Latin America economic ties.
In Buenos Aires, PM Modi will honour General San Martín and meet President Milei over lunch.
India and Argentina aim to strengthen ties based on shared values and economic goals.
