According to a report in the Independent, Allegiant Airlines passengers and crew were injured horribly and left with “broken bones” after a flight from North Carolina to Florida experienced violent turbulence that many people compared to the flying scene in the film “The Matrix.”

There were 179 passengers on board as well as six crew members, four of whom suffered injuries.
