Pakistan Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a suspect involved in human trafficking during an operation in the eastern Punjab province. The agency found the suspect in possession of 36 Pakistani passports, raising concerns about the extent of his illegal activities.
According to an FIA statement released on Monday, the suspect was also implicated in visa fraud. He reportedly extorted large sums of money from individuals by falsely promising to send them abroad. The arrest marks a significant step in the FIA’s ongoing efforts to curb human trafficking and related crimes in the region.

The FIA revealed that it has intensified raids to track down the suspect’s accomplices. Authorities are committed to dismantling the network involved in these illegal activities.
This arrest comes amid heightened measures against human trafficking in Pakistan, especially after a tragic incident last year in Greece, where many Pakistanis lost their lives while attempting to enter Europe illegally. The FIA’s crackdown reflects the government’s determination to prevent such tragedies and bring those responsible to justice.
