Nobel to Sweden: Svante Pääbo as the Medicine stalwart of 2022

The year 2022 witnesses Noble Prize going to Sweden! And the new stalwart in the field of Medicine is Svante Pääbo.

The Swedish scientist Svante Paabo has been  awarded the 2022 Nobel Prize in Medicine or Physiology.

The Nobel lauret’s findings have brought into light new understanding of our evolutionary history.

As per the admiratory description on the dais ‘Svante’s  discoveries concerning the human evolution and genomes of extinct hominins’, is an extraordinary work of research which  helps better understand the evolution of human beings.

Thomas Perlmann, the Nobel Committee secretary announced Swante’s name from the Noble Prize dais as the winner in the field of Medicine / Physiology today on 03 October 2022. The global ceremony was held at the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden.

This is going to be a week-full event which kicked off with the name of Swante Pabbo and the first award has been given in the field of Medicine.
