This year’s Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri witnessed a profound act of service as the Adani Group partnered with ISKCON to serve free, nutritious prasad meals to thousands of devotees.
The collaboration transformed the annual pilgrimage into a greater celebration of compassion, devotion, and community care.
Throughout the sacred city of Puri, volunteers distributed freshly prepared meals at key locations, including Talabania Bus Stand, Puri Railway Station, Swargadwar Junction, Gundicha Temple area, Bagla Dharmasala, Digabarani Parking, and Doodhwala Dharamshala.
The initiative ensured that every visiting devotee—regardless of background—received a wholesome meal, symbolising Lord Jagannath’s all-inclusive blessings.
The prasad included hot rice, soft rotis, seasonal mixed vegetables, dal payasam, gulab jamuns, halwa, and curd rice.
The volunteers designed each plate to be both tasty and balanced, providing 700 to 900 calories, over 20 grams of protein, and a rich mix of essential nutrients to support devotees walking long distances in the summer heat.
Adani Group and ISKCON prioritised hygiene and environmental responsibility throughout the drive.
Volunteers wore gloves while serving, used biodegradable paper plates instead of plastic or thermocol, and ensured proper waste collection at all sites.
This commitment created an ecosystem of clean, conscious service rooted in dignity and discipline.
During the Rath Yatra, as Lord Jagannath journeys through Puri on his grand chariot, it is believed that he blesses all without distinction. Reflecting this divine spirit, the Adani-ISKCON initiative offered equal care and hospitality to every pilgrim, rich or poor, local or foreign.
The collaboration between a spiritual organisation and a corporate house sent a powerful message: service to humanity enhances the sanctity of religious traditions.
By feeding thousands, Adani and ISKCON elevated the Rath Yatra beyond ritual, turning it into a model of compassionate action.
Devotees will remember the 2025 Jagannath Rath Yatra not just for the divine chariot procession but for the shared meals that volunteers served with love, care, and spiritual devotion.
