The Embassy of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in New Delhi has highlighted the strategic value of the UAE’s expanded visa-on-arrival policy for Indian citizens, calling it a major milestone in strengthening bilateral cooperation.
Under the revised rules, Indian passport holders with valid residence permits from Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea, and Singapore can now receive a visa on arrival at all UAE entry points.
This expansion adds to the existing visa-on-arrival access for Indian citizens holding valid visas or residence permits from the United States, the European Union, or the United Kingdom.
The UAE Embassy described the move as a progressive step that will ease travel, boost tourism, and encourage business and cultural exchange.
Officials believe that the broader eligibility reflects the UAE’s commitment to deepening its partnership with India, a key strategic ally in the region.
The policy aims to support the increasing global mobility of Indian professionals and tourists by offering them more convenient entry to the UAE.
With India seen as one of the UAE’s closest partners, this initiative is part of a larger effort to strengthen ties across sectors such as trade, education, technology, and diaspora relations.
The UAE Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to making access easier for Indian travellers and deepening collaboration between the two nations.
This step, according to the UAE, reflects the enduring and expanding partnership shared by the countries.
