Netanyahu Holds Talks with Biden as Iran-Israel Tensions Escalate

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is currently engaged in discussions with US President Joe Biden following deliberations with the Security Cabinet and the War Cabinet, prompted by Iran’s recent launch of drones towards Israel in response to an airstrike on its embassy in Syria.

In a recent update, it was disclosed that Netanyahu is in talks with President Biden, seeking support amid escalating tensions. Meanwhile, Iran issued a stern warning to its closest ally, the US, urging it to refrain from involvement in the conflict with Israel. The statement underscored Iran’s intent to escalate its response should Israel make further “mistakes.”

According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), dozens of surface-to-surface missiles were launched from Iran towards Israeli territory. The IDF’s Aerial Defence Array, with the assistance of strategic allies, successfully intercepted the majority of the launches using the Arrow Aerial Defense System. However, some missiles managed to cause minor damage to infrastructure at an IDF base in southern Israel.

Furthermore, the IDF revealed that numerous hostile aircraft and cruise missiles were detected approaching Israeli territory from Iran. In response, the IDF deployed many fighter jets to intercept these threats, emphasizing their commitment to defending Israeli territory on all fronts.
