Latest Russian Strike In Sumy, Ukraine, Claims 3 Dead And Injuries 4

Ukraine claimed on Friday that a Russian strike in the northeastern province of Sumy killed three persons and injured four others.

The Sumy region borders Russia and has been targeted throughout Moscow’s nearly two-year incursion, but it is far from conflict hotspots located further south.

On Telegram, Igor Klymenko, Ukraine’s interior minister, stated, “Three dead and four injured: the consequences of a Russian airstrike in the Sumy region”.

He stated that the victims were in a village workshop of an agriculture firm that was targeted.

Klymenko claimed Russia used seven guided bombs in the Sumy area.

He did not identify the village but did share a photo of rescuers sifting through the ruins of what appeared to be a little damaged building.

“The police and rescuers are working to eliminate the consequences of the shelling”, Klymenko continued.

Russian armies entered Sumy but were driven back when they launched their invasion in 2022.
