During Friday prayers at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla Mosque, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei praised the country’s recent military actions against Israel, asserting that they were ‘completely legal and legitimate’.
His remarks came as he addressed a large crowd, which included Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, while also commemorating the late Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, killed in Israeli airstrikes in Beirut last week.

“The brilliant work of our armed forces two or three nights ago was completely legal and legitimate work,” he emphasized, highlighting the solidarity among nations opposing Israeli actions.
Khamenei characterized the struggle against Israel as a shared battle, stating, “The enemy of Iran is the enemy of Palestine, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, Yemen, and Iraq.”

Honoring Nasrallah, whom he referred to as a ‘shining jewel’ of Lebanon, Khamenei noted that Nasrallah had inspired courage among fighters and advocates for justice.
“Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah brought assurance and courage to the fighters and seekers of truth. The scope of his popularity and influence extended beyond Lebanon, Iran, and Arab countries, and now his martyrdom will increase his influence even more,” he stated, calling upon Hezbollah’s youth to carry on Nasrallah’s legacy.
Khamenei also expressed the necessity of reinforcing a united front for defense, independence, and dignity across Islamic nations, extending from Afghanistan to Gaza.
“Most of my words are addressed to the Lebanese and Palestinian brothers today,” he affirmed.
The Supreme Leader previously attributed the ongoing turmoil in West Asia to the presence of the United States and certain European nations, underlining his stance that external forces are the root cause of regional instability.
Additionally, the recent Israeli attacks on Beirut claimed the life of Abbas Nilforoushan, a high-ranking commander of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), intensifying the sentiment of resistance against perceived foreign aggression.
