Israeli PM Confirms Death Of Senior Hezbollah Leader

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has confirmed that Israel has killed a large number of Hezbollah members, numerically thousands. Hashem Safieddine is one of the killed, who was expected to succeed the group’s current leader, Hassan Nasrallah.

In a video message to the people of Lebanon, Netanyahu told them to “liberate” their country from Hezbollah. He accused the group of intensifying Lebanon’s ongoing financial crisis.

“We’ve degraded Hezbollah’s capabilities,” Netanyahu stated. “We took out thousands of terrorists, including Nasrallah himself, his successor, and his successor’s successor.” He further claimed, “Today, Hezbollah is weaker than it has been in many years.”

Netanyahu reiterated Israel’s invasion and operation in Lebanon, allegedly against non-governmental armed force.
