PM Modi Extends Birthday Greetings To CM Dhami; Hails Efforts For Uttarakhand’s Progress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday extended birthday greetings to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, praising his efforts to accelerate the state’s development across various sectors and empower the poor.

In a post on social media platform X, PM Modi described Dhami as someone working hard to further Uttarakhand’s progress.

He also highlighted the Chief Minister’s commitment to empowering the poor and prayed for his long and healthy life.

Born on September 16, 1975, Pushkar Singh Dhami has served as Uttarakhand Chief Minister since July 4, 2021. He began his second consecutive term in March 2022, becoming the first Chief Minister of the state to serve two consecutive terms.

Dhami currently represents the Champawat Assembly constituency, which he won in a by-election in 2022.

Before moving to Champawat, he represented the Khatima constituency from 2012 to 2022.

CM Dhami contested the 2022 Assembly election from Khatima but lost the seat. Despite the defeat, the BJP leadership retained him as Chief Minister.

He later entered the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly after winning the Champawat by-election.

During his tenure, Dhami’s government has focused on development, public welfare and strengthening infrastructure across the state.

His administration has also emphasised tourism, connectivity and employment opportunities as part of Uttarakhand’s broader development agenda.

PM Modi’s birthday message comes as Uttarakhand continues to pursue initiatives aimed at strengthening its economy and supporting local communities.

The Prime Minister’s remarks also highlighted the importance of development and welfare in the state.

CM Dhami has remained a prominent BJP leader in Uttarakhand and has continued to lead the state government during his second term.

His political career includes his tenure as an MLA from Khatima and his subsequent representation of Champawat.

On his birthday, PM Modi wished Dhami continued good health and a long life while acknowledging his efforts towards Uttarakhand’s progress and the empowerment of economically weaker sections.
