Israel frees 30 Palestinian detainees in the most recent exchange

The Israeli prison authorities stated that thirty Palestinian inmates were released overnight Thursday in the latest exchange under an extended truce agreement set to expire within hours.

The inmates, who included 23 minors and seven women, were liberated just hours after the Palestinian Hamas group freed eight Israeli hostages.
