On Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they have conducted precise airstrikes on military sites across Iran.
Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, spokesperson for the IDF, stated that the operation was successful in achieving its objectives, warning that those who threaten Israel would face severe consequences.
Hagari’s comments came shortly after Iranian state media reported that the airstrikes had caused limited damage to certain locations, with investigations ongoing regarding the scale of the incident.
Iran’s air defense forces claimed that they successfully thwarted Israeli attacks targeting installations in Tehran, Khuzestan, and Ilam provinces, as reported by Press TV.
Iranian officials stated that the country is ready to respond to Israel’s aggression, according to the Tasnim news agency.
“Iran reserves its right to respond to any form of aggression, and there is no doubt that Israel will receive a proportional reaction to any action taken,” the officials added.
In a video statement, IDF spoksperson Hagari stated, “I can now confirm that we have concluded the Israeli response to Iran’s attacks against Israel. We conducted targeted and precise strikes on military targets in Iran, thwarting immediate threats to the State of Israel.”

Hagari also warned that Israel would respond appropriately if Iran were to escalate tensions again.
“If the regime in Iran were to make the mistake of beginning a new round of escalation, we will be obligated to respond,” he added.
Hagari further asserted, “Our message is clear: all those who threaten the state of Israel and seek to drag the region into wider escalation will pay a heavy price.”
“Today, we demonstrated that we have both the capability and resolve to act decisively, and we are prepared on offence and defence to defend the state of Israel and the people of Israel,” the IDF spokesperson added.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry Confirms Successful Retaliatory Strike
Earlier, Israel’s Foreign Ministry confirmed on X that its planes returned safely after conducting a strike in response to recent attacks by the Iranian regime against Israel and its citizens. They confirmed that they successfully completed the retaliatory mission.

The targets comprised missile manufacturing facilities that produced missiles launched at Israel in the past year, representing a direct and immediate threat to Israeli citizens.
Moreover, the IDF targeted surface-to-air missile systems and other Iranian aerial assets designed to limit Israel’s operational freedom in the airspace over Iran.
The Ministry highlighted that Iran has fired hundreds of missiles directly at Israel during two separate attacks in April and October, while also financing and orchestrating terrorist activities through its proxies across the Middle East.
The Ministry added, “Iran acts to undermine regional stability and security, and the global economy. The IDF has a range of offensive operational capabilities, some of which deployed today during the strikes on strategic assets deep within Iranian territory.”
“The State of Israel reserves the right to defend its citizens if the Iranian regime continues attacks against the State of Israel and its civilians,” the ministry further asserted.
Additionally, the IDF concluded, “The IDF is conducting ongoing situational assessments and is ready to conduct defensive and offensive action. There is currently no change to the Home Front Defensive Guidelines. The public is asked to continue following the guidelines.”

Targeted Strikes Follow Escalating Tensions
Earlier on Saturday, Israel executed targeted strikes on Iranian military installations, approximately one month after Tehran fired around 200 ballistic missiles towards Israeli territory.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) indicated that these strikes were a response to ongoing attacks from Iran and its affiliates since 7 October, emphasizing Israel’s right and obligation to retaliate.
Iranian state television reported hearing six loud explosion-like sounds in various parts of Tehran, although the exact cause of these noises remains unconfirmed.
An Iranian military official confirmed the deployment of air defense systems to intercept attacks on three different locations near the capital.
In addition, Iranian media reported that the country activated its air defense systems in central Tehran in response to the escalating Israeli attacks.
A security source informed IRNA that some of the reported sounds were related to air defense activities in Tehran. They confirmed that the air defense systems operated effectively during the incident.
The ongoing conflict in West Asia has escalated since Hamas launched a significant terror attack on Israel on 7 October last year.
